After some bike riding on supcomm our glorious FC Mr Rive decided to come back and lead some gangs in the real world, a.k.a. EVE Online. But this is Rive, he comes with his own level of epicness, every one of his ops is a great mixture of sadisticly torturing the enemy, striking deep and unexpected and yelling at us, retards who fail and die miserably.

Yesterday Rive decided to lead a gang of our new FOTM – the bombers. After Gobbins’s gang killed a Jump Freighter and orca the day before we had some pretty high goals to cover. But nevertheless, we traveled through a couple of jump bridges and finally got bridged by a Black ops battleship right into the eye of the storm – safepspot in 49-U6U, which had at the time local of 240 neutrals and hostiles. There wasn’t much we can do, we’ve set some spots on the gates as hostile support gangs were occasionaly jumping in and out of the system, killed a lonely drake, found an offline tower and decided to shoot it for a bit, but eventually rive took us out of the system to 8QT-H4, following a kenny support gang – around 35, same as our number.

In 8QT we failed to tackle anything, so cloaked around and waited. Scouts got in position and soon Kenny gang bridged into the system and was reported warping to the 49- gate. Our bombers, perfectly positioned, launched their shrapnels as soon as enemy fleet landed on the gate. Unfortunately for kenny stargates process jump requests quite slow, so just a few were able to jump out. Result was devastating – 25 ships killed, mostly hacs and other t2 ships. I think two of our bombers died to frinedly bombs, but hey – real fighting requires casualties from both sides. We considered entering 49- again, but the fact that there were 4 titans on scan from our entry gate and 6 in total in the system helped the decision to head to HED-GP.

On the way to Catch one of our scouts was monitoring a SE jump bridge in RR-D05(Catch). Only 2 jumps from there the unthinkable happened. An anshar cynoed to the SE pos. He was instantly scrammed and webbed and our 30 men bomber fleet got there in the speed of light. I’m not really sure, but I think the JF was downed for around 40-50 seconds, take that Gobbins.

After a while we finally reached HED-GP, but the locals(CVA, AAA & Co, some other neutrals) refused to fight our FOTM frigates, so we punished them by killing few AAA/ROL straglers – dictor, some ceptors and a hac. Two of our bombers managed to die simultaneously to a single crusader, who got out in 10% hull. Rive was pleased. We managed to lose few more, but after the glorious bombing in 8QT and the JF kill the operation was a total success and Mr Rive finally decided we can go back home and get our “kill a JF in bombers” medals.

We killed 2 jump freighters in two days, and I smel another bomber op is comming tonight. Maybe another JF, who knows. Thrid time is the charm they say.
