Clown Punchers. are sad on this rainy night. We’ve just returned to EF (our current home) after a pretty uneventful roam. We return to find a Resurrection docked up in the local station. After seeing him undock, we clear station and engage him. He redocks about with 1/4 armor left. Troubled at his situation and his poor choice of shopping locations (thanks for the wallet flashes!), we proceed to inform him that his luck tonight was bad, explain our unfruitful roam, and that we are so bored, camping his lone Myrmidon in station would be a very enjoyable experience. He proceeds to start smacking, I guess knowing he has support waiting, and soon the real fun begins.
So after some minutes of him informing us why we suck, why he was going to undock and do what ever he wanted, and why we were just goon wannabe’s, he undocks again, predictable as we are, we follow, and then there is a local spike. Looks like we didn’t need to go on a roam, we got a fight right here.
I have my pilots get safe since we have no eyes and I want to get an idea of what they are bringing. They begin landing on the station and we end up with what will so become the butt hurt fleet of fail.
Resurrection Fleet – Drake x 2, Myrmidon x 2, Basilisk x 2, Falcon, Manticore
Clown Punchers Fleet - Deimos x2, Cane x2, Curse, Onyx, Drake, Blackbird, Tackle x3
Now that their whole fleet is in local, they bump up the smack talk, as some of you know, BOZO being no stranger to smack, we return in kind, while we assemble a fleet to throat rape these fine gentlemen outside our station. While we have some members swap ships, we keep undocking a Deimos to keep them aggro and interested.
Fleet is formed up, combination of close range face rape and ranged volley with tackle and a jamming ship should do the trick right? Toss in a Curse for some neut action and we have a party. The order to undock is given and they engage straight away.
They force our Curse to redock, but by webbing and scramming him at the undock they never let him get in to range of the Basilisk, so never gave him a reason to aggro. Their Falcon decloaks and becomes the new primary. He happens to be 10km off one of our Deimos and drops like a sack of potatoes. Our BB calls jams on secondary Basilisk and the primary Basilisk becomes new primary, tackle is bread across both the logisitic ships, at this point the Drakes and Myrm’s have already given up and are deagressing, warping off, and docking up. We drop both the logisitic ships is quick fashion.
They clear local pretty quick and for some reason they’ve zipped their lips as well. No more smack talk. Of course, BOZO has plenty to say to them still, but they’ve clammed up. Eventually a scout comes back in a covops and gets the rest of their pilots out, we do a fail chase, don’t catch any of them.
The battle summary is clearly in our favor with no losses, sadly we were only able to get three of them, so we failed there. Is this little fight really worth all these words on a page? Maybe not, but I think it is hilarious this guys mouth went out writing checks and we cashed them by punching him in the face.
