W-Space/J122806 – Eternum Pariah vs Nocturne Rouge – 7/8/09 0:00

As my first battle report, I’m going to do a report on one of my favorite corp operations. My corp, Eternum Pariah, is a middle-sized, multi-function corp. Although, we do not solely focused on PvP, we do engage people often, especially in wormholes….

Tuesday, July 8, started like any other day. I was leaving work, to head back home to begin my nearly ritualistic evening scan. In my cov-ops I scan down a few systems until I find a wormhole. Wormhole thingie tells me it’s a class 3, so I jump in. I do a quick 360 direction, and see a small Minmatar POS and a lot of ships in system. Crap, I think to myself, this wormhole is probably run dry, but perhaps, there might be a gank in the making.

I fly from planet to planet, to see if I can get these ships and/or the POS on scan. To my surprise, all the ships are in the POS shield and are all at the POS. The thing that made me cream my pants…not once, but twice…was that the POS’s only defense was a stasis web battery. The only other POS mod was a corp hangar array. Inside the shield was the following ships: drake, apoc, mael, skiff, hulk, purifier, mega, helios and assorted t1 frigs (for scanning I’m sure).

I quickly, get on TS explaining the situation to my corp mates. I do a quick analysis of the corp. Nocturne Rouge, is a 14 man, French corp…no alliance and no threat. Conscientious of the allowable m3 of the wormhole and the fact we have to jump these ships out, we organize the following gang: 3 torp ravens, 3 stealth bombers, 3 drakes, and a couple command ships and hac’s.

We jump in, and pop the web and start blasting the shields. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/5416/20090708030052.png

As the shields start dropping, we sit, watch, and hope…that the POS wasn’t stront’ed. Unfortunately, it was…and we had to stop. Fortunately, we only had to stop for an hour, as it was only stront’ed for such a little amount. So we pop the POS, and then we decide to pop the hangar array. For those of you who do not know, if you offline the hangar, you lose all the stuff inside. So with nothing to lose, we decide to pop it. Much to our surprise, 2 full cans of loot pops out. We would later find out that all the mods, gas, loot, etc was worth about 2.5 bil isk.

With the POS destroyed with no resistance, and tons of loot and ships to scoop, we leave a small fleet and jump everyone out to return in pods and haulers. With the ships yanked and loot scooped, we left them 1 ship, a shuttle, which we renamed: http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/7899/20090708040253.jpg.

Nice write-up, they were French, so they surrendered immediately. Hence why there was no POS guns or any resistance taking the POS down.
